Caronavirus: What to Do for Your Next Appointment
I hope you, your family and friends are all safe and well. I’ve missed you! The last few weeks have been tough for all of us, and I’m so excited to share plans for reopening. As you know, Governor Cooper had extended the “stay at home” order through May 8th, which has now been lifted in the first phase of our state’s reopening. Restaurants, bars, fitness centers, personal care services, and other businesses are expected to open during phase 2, 2-3 weeks after. I am planning on servicing clients at that time, assuming all goes as projected. Currently, no exact date for the reopening has been announced, but when it becomes definite, I will be reaching out to everyone to reschedule. I ask for your patience, as so many appointments will need to be moved and I am only one person. I will be prioritizing those of you who were booked on the schedule from the beginning of the shutdown, and moving forward from there. Many of you reached out to me during the shutdown about booking appointments for the future, and I have compiled a list based on the order in which you contacted me. If you would like to be added to this list, please email me at email@example.com. Include your first and last name, the service that you would like to book, and I will add you to the list. This is the only way that I can fairly handle the situation.
As we are all excited for businesses in the community to reopen, I want to let you know that your health and safety (as well as my own) is a top priority. I will be wearing a face mask and face guard and, because masks are in such short supply and cannot be bulk ordered at this time, I am requesting that each client come in with their own. All towels, smocks, and capes are 1 use only and washed with Oxi-Clean as well as regular detergent. I will be sanitizing all combs, brushes, cutting utensils, and service equipment between clients. There will be hand sanitizer and soap and water for self-sanitation during your service.
The building is taking the following precautions to maintain a safe and healthy space, per the owner of My Salon Suites:
“Before reopening, the entire building will be professionally cleaned. To make you and your clients feel comfortable, I have rolled out new health and sanitation procedures:
- Professional cleaning and sanitation 6 days per week
- Increased cleaning of all surfaces in common areas including bathrooms, lobby areas, security systems, door handles
- Limit 1 client per suite
- Client should wait in the car until you are ready for them
- If you or a client is sick or not feeling well, please do not enter the building”

When you come in for your appointments, please stay in your car until I’m ready for you. I will call the mobile phone # in your client file, and let you in at that point. This will help to avoid congregating in the lobby.
I have always operated with a high standard for cleanliness given the nature of my business and this will remain in full effect.
