Coronavirus Update: Delta Variant Masked Mandate from Town of Cary

Since COVID-19 made its way into our lives over a year ago, we’ve masked up, stayed home, and largely slowed entertaining. But over time, many of us have inevitably returned from strictly adhering to coronavirus prevention protocols recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) simply because we have been vaccinated. That was before the Delta variant outbreak.

Now, with several new, more contagious variants of the coronavirus starting to circulate, experts and our local officials say it’s time for all of us to get serious again, and also to take additional steps to keep ourselves and our loved ones safe.

In response to the recent rise in COVID cases and hospitalizations in Wake County and the larger region, Mayor Harold Weinbrecht on Monday issued an indoor mask mandate for the Town of Cary. The order, part of a new State of Emergency declaration for the Town of Cary, applies to everyone regardless of vaccination status.

As your hair stylist, I am committed to providing a safe and sanitary service environment per public health code requirements. I am asking all of my clients to do their part and adhere to the mandate. We need that community spirit now more than ever.

I love you all,

Anna
